Christopher Boggs

Christopher Boggs has spent his entire legal career in criminal litigation, here in Delaware County. He began working as an assistant public defender where he represented clients charged with every class of crime in district court, juvenile court and the court of common pleas. When the opportunity presented itself Chris became an Assistant District Attorney in the Special Victims Unit of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office. As a Special Victims ADA, He prosecuted murder, rape, human trafficking, child physical and sexual abuse, child pornography creation and possession, domestic violence, and failure to register as a sex offender, from the preliminary hearing through post-trial motions. Chris was promoted to Chief of the Special Victims Unit in January of 2020. During his time as Chief, he gained a unique perspective into law enforcement investigations, tactics, and procedures. His responsibilities included being on-call 24/7/365 for law enforcement questions, approving every criminal complaint for a special victim crime in Delaware County, overseeing the unit that prosecutes every special victim crime in the county, training the child abuse task force, training law enforcement in domestic violence investigations, and carrying a caseload of special victim trial cases. He has served under three District Attorneys, from both the Democrat and Republican parties. 

Chris graduated from Widener University with honors and was a member of the Football and Track teams. He graduated from the Delaware Law School in 2009 where he received a distinction for his pro-bono work with the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office. He spends his free time as an assistant football coach at Marple Newtown High School.
